myAqiqah, a trusted and leading Aqiqah service in the UK, joined forces with Al Huda Welfare Foundation in delivering a meaningful gift to the needy residents in Chadwell Heath, Essex.
The Spirit of Aqiqah
Aqiqah is a beautiful Islamic tradition that celebrates the birth of a child through the sacrifice of a permissible animal, typically sheep or goats. The meat from this sacrifice is then distributed to family, friends, and those in need. This encompasses the adherence to Sunnah, principles of gratitude and community support.
A Partnership Rooted in Values
Euro Quality Lambs (EQL), myAqiqah and their Aqiqah donors share a dedication to ensuring that the blessings of Aqiqah also reach those who need it in these difficult times of economic hardships. EQL, known for their premium-quality halal meat, brought their expertise and commitment to excellence to this initiative. Meanwhile, myAqiqah’s platform streamlined the Aqiqah process, making it easier for families to uphold this sacred tradition by donating all or any part of the available Aqiqah meat.
Our Aqiqah donors generously donated the Aqiqah meat for charitable distribution. With Al Huda Welfare Foundation, we chose to channel our resources towards a noble cause: distributing the Aqiqah meat to the needy people in Chadwell Heath and surrounding areas. This foundation has been tirelessly supporting vulnerable individuals and families by running a Food Bank every Sunday, ensuring that no one is left behind.
In 2024, over 200kg of Aqiqah meat has been donated to Al Huda Welfare Foundation which was distributed to the needy through their Sunday Food Bank.
